Located on a south-facing slope with a fantastic view of the mountains, this high-quality and stylishly furnished ground floor apartment is part of a large country house with a large garden. Underfloor heating in all tiled rooms (kitchen, hallway, bathroom) and wooden floorboards in the living room and bedrooms. Tiled stove in the living room and hallway. The kitchen, living room, and terrace offer views of a meadow landscape with the Untersberg, Watzmann, Lattengebirge, Hochstaufen, and Zwiesel mountains in the background.

Due to the distance to the nearest grocery store or supermarket (3 km to Freilassing, 4 km to Surheim), shopping for food should be done by car or bicycle.

The holiday flat in rural Sillersdorf is located in historic Rupertiwinkel, the northern part of Berchtesgadener Land. Beautiful walks in the floodplains of the Sur river or into the Ainringer Moos are possible from the house. A dense network of cycle paths and small country roads also leads from the house to numerous shorter or longer cycle tours, for example to Abtsee and Laufen, to Waginger See, to Ainringer Moos, to Schönramer Filz, up the Saalach or down the Saalach and Salzach.

The old town of Salzburg, 12 km away, can also be reached in 45 minutes by bike exclusively on cycle paths or alternatively from Freilassing railway station, 5 km away, by S-Bahn or by car.

The spa town of Bad Reichenhall can be reached in 25 minutes by car or by S-Bahn from Freilassing station, Berchtesgaden in 50 minutes, Königsee in 55 minutes and the Salzach towns of Tittmoning and Burghausen in less than an hour. Prien am Chiemsee is 45 minutes away by car. From there, the boat takes you to the island of Herrenchiemsee or the Fraueninsel.

Your hosts, who are nature lovers and culturally active and interested, lived and worked on four continents for four decades before retiring. They live on the upper floor and look forward to your visit.
